?Introduction of Experimental Center
The experimental center of School of Energy and Environmental Engineering (SEEE) was established in April 2018. It has 18 laboratories, including heat and mass transfer laboratory, engineering fluid mechanics laboratory (open to the whole university), engineering thermodynamics laboratory, engineering combustion laboratory, automatic measurement and control laboratory, refrigeration and cryogenic laboratory, cryogenic process and equipment laboratory, air conditioning laboratory, heat engineering laboratory, solid waste recycling laboratory, water pollution control laboratory, environmental microbiology laboratory, physical pollution control laboratory, environmental monitoring laboratory, and environmental toxicology laboratory. Each year, 17 experimental courses with a total of 445 class hours are offered to undergraduates, with an annual total of 20762 person hours.
The experimental center has 8 full-time teachers, including 2 senior engineers, 5 engineers, 1 assistant engineer, all with master degree or doctoral degree. The experimental center has a total area of more than 1000 square meters, 3635 sets of experimental equipment, with a total asset value of 103.74 million CNY, including 179 sets of equipment above 100000 CNY and 31 sets of large equipment above 400000 CNY.
According to the current situation and development trend of innovation education reform of experimental courses at home and abroad, the experimental center focuses on the objectives and requirements of building a high-level research university in the new era, pays attention to intersection and penetration in subjects, highlights the discipline characteristics, focuses on the engineering practice ability in the professional field, gives full play to the advantages of experimental teaching, strengthens the innovation ability of scientific research, and strives to build a three-dimensional coordination system of "four in one", from program construction, laboratory construction, faculty construction to guiding scientific and technological innovation. It has formed a benign operation mechanism which has become the characteristics and advantages of the center itself.
At the new historical development stage, in the process of realizing a new round of scientific development and building a first-class domestic and world-famous high-level research university, the experimental center strives to improve and tap the existing experimental conditions, adheres to the combination of laboratory opening and resource sharing, and strides forward to a higher and further goal.
